天津援非医疗队已经有56年的历史，是全国最早派遣的援外医疗队，为非洲贫困群众提供了一流的医疗服务。
天津本地新闻门户津云报道了第20届天津援非医疗队从2018年7月27日开始为期13个月的工作，天津共有16家医院的26名医务工作者参加。这些医生治疗了83804名病人，完成了2162例外科手术，并帮助许多非洲朋友摆脱了一些严重疾病。

'A Log on Life' documents Tianjin medical team in Africa
Tianjin’s medical team to Africa has a history of up to 56 years and the team was the very first nationwide medical team being sent outbound withadvanced medical services to the impoverished civilians.
Jinyun, a local newsportal in Tianjin, had reporteda13-month assisting experience of the 20th Tianjin medical team which was composed of 26 doctors from 16 hospitals. Since July 27, 2018, the team had treated 83,804 patientswhile completing2,162 surgical operations.Many African friends were relieved from severe diseases with their help.
